Director of Research & Emerging Technologies; Zimmer Spine; Minneapolis, MN
Zimmer Spine, a Zimmer division dedicated to globally developing, producing and marketing the highest quality spine products and services, is currently searching for a Director of Research and Emerging Technologies. This position will be based at the Minneapolis, Minnesota divisional headquarters.

The Director of Research and Emerging Technologies will be responsible for setting and driving the global spine research strategy and leading the spine emerging technologies effort.
This position will also require working closely with biologics and research colleagues worldwide to ensure research efforts are aligned with the defined strategy. This individual will have direct management responsibility for research and emerging technology efforts in Minneapolis and dotted line responsibility for research efforts in Winterthur, Switzerland.
This position requires a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering or related and relevant science and engineering fields. 10+ years of directly related medical device, preferably spine research and development industry experience, including experience managing people, with an established record of scientific publishing, presenting, and bringing new products from concept to market.
