Dear Colleague:
At his year's 43rd SES Annual Conference to be held at the Pennsylvania
State University in University Park, PA, USA I am co-organizing, jointly
with Tomasz Lekszycki from Polish Academy of Sciences and Ashok Kumar
Ghosh from New Mexico Tech a Symposium on Modeling and Characterization
of Biological Materials and Biomaterials. More information about the
conference and the symposium can be found at the conference website:

respectively
The symposium focuses on biological materials and biomaterials. All
works on modeling and characterization of biological materials and
biomaterials, in particular interdisciplinary studies at the
intersection of engineering, science and medicine, are welcome.
Sample topics include:
- characterization of microstructures of biological materials and
biomaterials
- development of constitutive laws
- multi-scale models
- application of optimization methods in modeling
- studies of growth, remodeling and healing of biological materials
- modeling of controlled tissue cultivation, and other.
We would like to invite you to participate in this symposium. Should you
decide to contribute, we would like to receive your confirmation at your
earliest convenience. The deadline for submitting abstract is February
24, 2006. The formal submission is to be done electronically at:
