Call for Papers
Full papers are solicited related to the use of Virtual Reality in:
Musculo-skeletal virtual rehabilitation
Motor rehabilitation post-stroke
Assessment/rehabilitation of patients with cognitive deficits
Telerehabilitation and Haptics
Autism, ADHD and Developmental Disabilities
VR Exposure Therapy for Anxiety Disorders
VR for Pain Distraction
Cue Exposure methods for treating addictive behaviors
Integration of VR with psycho-physiological and brain imaging studies
Virtual Reality treatment of PTSD
Novel VR techniques in rehabilitation and Bio-feedback devices
Sociological, demographic and legal aspects of Virtual Rehabilitation
Regulatory education and formative efforts to promote Virtual Rehabilitation
Best Paper Award (500 USD) sponsored by Hocoma AG
A Special Issue on IWVR06 will appear in the IEEE Transactions on Neural
Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering. Authors who want to be considered
for this Special Issue should indicate so when submitting to IWVR06.
Selected papers presented at IWVR06 will undergo a second review for the
Special Issue.
Paper Submission Guidelines
Papers should describe original and unpublished work. CD Proceedings will
be distributed at the workshop and subsequently published papers will
become part of the IEEE Online Library, carrying the IEEE notice. Authors
should submit manuscripts electronically as a PDF file to
manuscript.2006@iwvr.org. Papers should
not exceed 8 pages single-spaced, 12 points, including images, figures,
tables and references. All papers should also include the title, an
abstract, keywords, author's names, affiliations, postal addresses, e-mail
addresses and the contact author for the paper. If submission exceeds 4 Mb,
please compress paper using WinZip.
Paper Deadlines: Manuscript submission: April 1, 2006
Notification of acceptance: June 1, 2006
Camera-ready paper: July 15, 2006

Call for Lab Presentations
We seek research demos from any lab or research group (including industry)
related to Virtual Rehabilitation. Demos should interest the broad research
and practitioners' community and be presentable in a conference setting.
The conference will provide basic infrastructure for the lab presentations
at no cost, (a table, poster panel and electrical outlet). Proposals for
lab presentations should be submitted electronically to
labpresentations.2006@iwvr.org.
Proposals should include a 1-page description of the demo and the set up,
as well as a one-page description of the research lab.

Exhibitor Invitation
IWVR 2006 provides a unique opportunity for your organization to reach the
world's foremost Virtual Rehabilitation researchers and application
builders. We invite government, academic and commercial organizations to
showcase Virtual Rehabilitation hardware, software, integrated systems,
peripherals, innovations, literature or anything else of interest to our
conference participants. Regular refreshments will be offered in the
exhibit hall and the conference papers are presented in the next room. Lab
presentation demos will also be located in the same Exhibits room. Contact

Call for Student Volunteers
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic student volunteers to help
"make it all happen". Volunteers may commit to 10 to 15 hours of volunteer
effort and will receive conference registration, proceedings, meals,
