I am currently developing devices for fixation of the capsular ligaments
and labrum in the shoulder. In the course of developing these devices, we
establish loading requirements, based on the forces the ligaments are
likely to exert in-vivo. I am particularly interested in the loads on the
inferior glenohumeral ligament (IGHL). Can anyone point me towards any
references to the biologic loads on the IGHL, both "at rest" (in a sling
post-op) and in normal use (at 90 deg abduction and external rotation.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
