Hello. I am very interested in further developing the biomechanical model of
the baseball swing presented in Welch et. al.'s 1995 article, Hitting a
Baseball: A Biomechanical Description. I am having a very difficult time
finding scientific research on the kinematics and kinetics of the player. There
is a wealth of information on the bat and bat-ball collisions, but very little
on the player swinging it. This seems to be the only article I could find so
far, and it is more than 10 years old. Any information on this topic over the
last 10 years would be most appreciated. Thank you all.
