Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics (#SP0601)
The School of Sport and Exercise Science at the Waikato Institute of
Technology, in Hamilton, New Zealand, seeks a full-time lecturer to
teach in the area of Sport and Exercise Biomechanics.
The position is suitable for someone who has preferably a PhD, or
alternatively a Masters qualification in Biomechanics or associated
discipline. The ability to undertake and supervise applied research in
Sport and Exercise Biomechanics is essential. Registration as an
accredited Biomechanist with experience in consulting with high
performance athletes is preferred, as is teaching experience at tertiary
level. The ability to teach Research Methods at both undergraduate and
postgraduate levels would be a distinct advantage.
Applicants need to be highly motivated, well organised and have a keen
interest in teaching at diploma, degree and post-graduate level. The
successful applicant would be joining an energetic team of staff who
have a commitment to high performance sport, sports coaching, community
health and the exercise industry, recreation management, applied
research and sport consultancy.
