    In partnership with Alamance Regional Medical Center

    announces the availability of a new, full-time tenure-track faculty position
    available June 1, 2006.

    Physical Therapist with a Doctorate

    Come to beautiful North Carolina and join our highly qualified, dynamic faculty including 12 full-time and 8 part-time faculty.

    Required Qualifications

    Physical therapist with terminal doctoral degree
    Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in North Carolina
    Clinical experience in the musculoskeletal practice pattern area
    Proven abilities as a classroom or clinical instructor
    Capable of conducting research with a well defined research agenda
    Team player with strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
    Active member of the American Physical Therapy Association

    Additional Desired Qualifications

    American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certification
    Established scholarship record
    Ability to teach other areas in the curriculum

    Approximately of the teaching responsibilities for this new position will include work with the 3 faculty who currently teach the musculoskeletal content for the
    DPT curriculum. The other of the teaching responsibilities will be negotiable and dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience. Rank and
    salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

    Of special interest, in the Spring of 2006, Elon in partnership with Alamance Regional Medical Center is opening a new Center for Fitness and Human
    Movement Studies. This Center will enhance the research, teaching, and clinical opportunities presently available.
