  • VERY LAST REMINDER: 9th International ISB Symposium on the 3Danalysis of Human Movement.

    Dear Biomch-L Colleagues,

This email to kindly remind you that the very final deadline
for submission to 9th International ISB Symposium on the
3D analysis of Human Movement is in 5 days.

So, please, if you consider submitting your work think to
do it quicly because no further deadline extension will be
    made.

Below more details on the symposium.

    ************************************************** ******

I'm contacting you again to kindly remain you that the next
symposium of The International Society of Biomechanics
(ISB) Technical Group on the 3-D Analysis of Human
Movement will take place in June 2006 in Valenciennes
    (France).

The organisation committee would like to welcome you at
this event, and is kindly inviting you to submit your work.
Instructions for authors (including abstract template) can
    be found at:

    http://www.univ-
    valenciennes.fr/congres/3D2006/instructions.htm

Next to "traditional" topics (Motion Capture, Motion
Analysis Kinematics & Kinetics, Imaging and Image
    Processing, Animation, Numerical Methods, Optimal
Control, Fuzzy Logic, Joint Replacement, Sport
Performance and Equipment, Models and Experiments,
    Simulation Methodology and Instrumentation, Robotics,
    Finite Element Analysis, Computational Biomechanics,
and Biomechanics Simulation), emphasis of this 2006 3D
Symposium Edition will be put on:

    a) Skin movement artefacts in 3D analysis
    b) Adding human interactivity in 3D analysis
    c) Improving the clinical exploitation of data for 3D analysis
    d) Image analysis
    e) Technological issues in exploitation of 3D information of human
    motion
    f) Simulation and modelling (registration, modelling, fusion,
    decision-making)
    g) Combining inverse and forwards dynamics.

Abstracts that describe novel aspects of the above topics and clear
links with 3D analysis of human movement will have the
highest priority in the abstract selection process.

Poster and podium presentation can be submitted.

    Some important dates:

    - February 20, 2006 Abstract submission due.
    - February 27, 2006 Notification for abstract acceptance.
    - March 27, 2006 Camera-ready abstract manuscripts (Final Form).
    - March 27, 2006 Regular registration due which will include lunches,
    dinners, &/or social events.
    - April 24, 2006 Deadline for Cancellations. - June 28, 29
