  • Surface EMG acquisition systems

    Dear all,

Our school is interested in purchasing a new surface EMG system for our
laboratory. We current use an AMLab system which is great, but due to
the company going bust we are unable to increase the number of channels
    we currently are using.

The beauty of the AMLab system is that all data acquisition (eg EMG and
isokinetic data) is synchronised and captured continuously. In addition,
the software enables the user to design circuit schematics for signal
    conditioning and/or data processing.

I am aware that a number of systems are capable of this, however I am
interested a CED (Spike2) or NI (Labview) system, including software and
hardware. If anyone out there is currently using either of these systems
for EMG and associated data collection I would be greatly interested in
any comments that you may have regarding system performance and
    versatility.

Particularly for the Aussies, what is the tech support like?

    Kind regards,
    Jack
