Position Summary:
Responsible for applied research functions emphasizing product
development objectives. Principle job functions include managing
clinical and biomechanical evaluations of new products by assuring that
appropriate test procedures, equipment utilization, data reduction and
results reporting are adhered to. The associate will also be
responsible for designing and conducting in-house tests on new
products. The associate reports to the Research Manager and works
cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, and outside
investigators. The ideal candidate should have experience in
experimental design, biomechanics, statistics, motion analysis, and
force/pressure measurement.
Essential Job Functions:
Participates in study development and start-up activities, performs
literature reviews and assists in protocol development.
Monitors and supports investigational sites. Assures that protocol is
adhered to and study objectives are met.
Designs and conducts research on new products.
Assures that research tasks are properly documented and reported, and
that appropriate information is effectively disseminated to other
departments and customers as needed.
Provide research support to marketing, sales, and engineering personnel
in support of product development and launch activities.
Qualifications:
Education – Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum, MS
preferred) in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or
related field.
Experience –
1-3 years of experience in applying your degree in a research setting,
or obtaining a graduate degree.
Working knowledge of experimental design and statistics.
Must be able to effectively work without supervision and be able to
prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
