Dear Colleagues,
I would like to announce you the initiation of a new web site, Biomch-W. You can reach Biomch-W through http://www.biomch-w.org. At the start-up page, you can perform a keyword search or directly access to the main page.
Biomch-W aims to be a repository of biomechanics related knowledge. It is not intended to replace Biomch-L, rather to complement it as a sister project. It will be possible for anyone to generate biomechanics related articles in the web site supported by equations and images. All the articles can be further edited by other users of the website providing knowledge based on general consensus. The architecture is very similar to Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, http://www.wikipedia.org). Actually, Biomch-W is powered by the same software.
Biomch-W is at an experimental stage at this moment, waiting contributions from the biomechanics community to create and edit articles. Your feedback on layout, access, and other issues are welcome, too. You can send your questions, comments or requests to admin@biomch-w.org.
I am grateful to Biomch-L moderators for their comments on the idea and accepting Biomch-W as a sister project. Also, I would like to thank Ton (Antonie J. van den Bogert) for his encouragement and support to establish the initial Biomch-W setup.
Best Regards,
Ahmet
