(Apologies for cross-posting)
Dear Colleague,
The International Symposium on Computational Modelling of Objects
Represented in Images: Fundamentals, Methods and Applications will be held
in International Centre for Mathematics of University of Coimbra, Coimbra,
Portugal, on October 20-21, 2006.
Within the Symposium many topics will be focused: Image processing and
analysis, image segmentation, 3D reconstruction, objects tracking, motion
and deformation analysis, objects simulation, medical imaging, computational
bioimaging and visualization, etc. More details regarding the Symposium can
be found in the following address:
http://www.fe.up.pt/CompIMAGE
Topics related to the goals of the Symposium are welcome, such as:
- Computational Vision;
- Medical Imaging;
- Image Processing;
- Tracking and Analysis of Movement;
- Simulation and Modeling;
- Image Acquisition;
- 3D Shape Reconstruction;
- Objects Segmentation;
- Objects Matching;
- Data Interpolation, Registration and Compression;
- Mesh Generation and Processing;
- Rapid Prototyping from Images;
- Telemedicine;
- Virtual Reality;
- Computer Aided Diagnosis, Surgery, Therapy, and Treatment;
- Computational Bioimaging and Visualization;
- Software Development.
The focus of the Symposium is to communicate innovations and to exchange
views in the scientific development of image analysis and computational
visualization. Such, the Symposium will be an ideal opportunity to debate
with medical doctors, engineers, physicians and mathematicians, among
others.
The deadline for submission of abstracts to the CompIMAGE Symposium is June
31, 2006.
Due to your research activities in the field, we would like to invite you to
submit a contributed paper. Your contribution is mostly welcomed and we
would be honoured if you could participate in the Symposium.
We appreciate very much your interest in participating in CompIMAGE.
Best regards,
João Manuel R. S. Tavares
