OXFORD GAIT LABORATORY
SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST 37.5 hours/week
Fixed term contract until 31/01/09
Band 6 (under review) £22,328.00 - £26,949.00 depending on experience
The Oxford Gait Laboratory runs a national clinical service objectively
assessing the walking ability of patients with a view to recommending
surgical, therapeutic and orthotic management. The laboratory is fully
equipped with a 12 camera Vicon 612 motion capture system, two AMTI
forceplates, a plantar pressure platform, surface and fine-wire EMG
instrumentation and a Cosmed breath-by-breath pulmonary gas exchange system.
The post holder will be involved in gait analysis predominantly with
children with Cerebral Palsy, but also with children and adults with other
neurological and orthopaedic conditions.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Training in
gait analysis will be provided.
