The School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science, Griffith University
invites applications for a position in Biomechanics and Neuroscience at
the level of Associate Lecturer (Level A). The successful candidate must
have a doctoral degree or have submitted a doctoral thesis and be able to
contribute to the research and teaching programs within the areas of
Biomechanics and Neuroscience. Teaching experience is necessary in areas
of Biomechanics/Neuroscience relevant to Physiotherapy and Exercise
Science. Applicants should have a developing research track record in
Biomechanics/Neuroscience with evidence of publications in internationally
refereed journals.
The successful applicant will be expected to supervise Honours students
and initially co-supervise research higher degree students and contribute
to the administration of the school.
The School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science represents a structural
and functional integration of the disciplines of Physiotherapy and
Exercise Science, and provides a contemporary and evidence based approach
to student learning. Applicants should be committed to the new paradigm of

Key accountabilities/duties
1. Contribute to teaching in Biomechanics and Neuroscience.
2. Conduct independent and collaborative research in the areas of
Biomechanics and Neuroscience
3. Be active in research publication, grant acquisition and supervision of
research higher degree students including honours students.
4. Perform administrative duties as directed by the Head of School.
5. Participate in professional and community activities of relevance to
the School.
