We are looking to appoint a full time PhD student to undertake research in the assessment of cognition, motivation and community mobility in progressive neurological conditions, specifically Huntington's disease (HD).
The aim of this study is to assess whether current clinical assessment tools used in HD implemented using blinded assessment techniques (motor, cognitive and psychological) are good indicators of mobility and whether they reflect change over time. This will involve collaboration between the Departments of Physiotherapy and Neurology, Cardiff University.
The studentships will cover tuition fees at UK/EU level as well as a stipend of £12,000, travel and conference fees. Applicants must posses a first degree with a minimum on a 2:1 and/or a postgraduate qualification.
