Dear All,
I am starting research into certain aspects of kinematic and coordination changes that occur during prolonged running on a treadmill. As part of this project I am using a 13 camera Vicon motion analysis system. Without the forces, however, it is not clear as to where foot contact and toe off are occuring.
A question I have at this stage is what are the kinematic indicators of foot contact and toe off to enable normalisation of data to the gait cycle and stance/swing phases?
Any help on this subject would be appreciated.
Regards,
Mark Connick.
