Hi-
I am working on a project to modify the Hybrid III 3 year old crash test
dummy to represent the larger size of today's children. I have been
searching for current anthropometric data to justify the modifications but
have been unable to find anything more recent than that collected in the
1970s (CPSC "Anthropometry of Infants, Children, and Youths to Age 18 for
Product Safety Design." R.G. Snyder, L.W. Schneider, C.L. Owings, H.M.
Reynolds, D.H. Golomb and M.A. Schork. Final report prepared for CPSC at
UMTRI, 1977).
If anyone knows if recent anthropometric data for children exists and where
I can find it I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!
