I would like to inform you that the second "Young APSN Conference" will be
organized by ViSEB Lab, Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), at the
Central Campus of WUT (information on building name and room number will be
posted soon), on June 14th, 2006.
The conference will be preceded with the IRCOBI Biomechanics Course (focused
on biomechanics of impact) organized at the same place on June 12-13.
Both the course and the conference are not restricted to delegates
representing the APSN partners
-- all interested participants are welcome!
The idea of the "Young APSN Conference" (YAPSN) is to give early stage
researchers, working in the road safety field, suitable occasion to present
(during 10-15 minutes PowerPoint presentation) their research work and to
meet each other.
Combination of the YAPSN Conference with the IRCOBI Course will give the
participants excellent opportunities to extend their knowledge in the
important field of biomechanics of impact.
IRCOBI course topics:
a.. Introduction and History of Biomechanics
b.. Injury Scaling
c.. The Head - Anatomy, Injuries, Mechanisms, Criteria
d.. Accident Data and Sources

f.. The Neck - Anatomy, Injuries, Mechanisms, Criteria
g.. Abdomen & Limbs - Anatomy, Injuries, Mechanisms, Criteria
h.. The Chest - Anatomy, Injuries, Mechanisms, Criteria

for ONE delegate per APSN partner.
The APSN "first delegates" will be accommodated free of charge in the

The ***hotel "MDM" seems to be a good choice. It is situated very close to
the course/conference site (5 minutes slow walk) -- direct link:

Another option are tourist-class hotels: ATOS and ARAMIS with good access to
the conference place by public transportation -- direct link:

Registration/fee payment information forms for all other interested
participants (who are not the "first delegates" of the APSN partners) are
