    The School of Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University invites
    applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor,
    level aP4, in a field of Biomechanics with biomedical applications.
    The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence
    in research and teaching, and will be expected to teach in a field of
    biomechanics and to establish a well-funded research program.

    The Faculty of Applied Sciences at Simon Fraser University has
    initiated a new biomedical engineering program which builds upon
    existing strengths in the School of Kinesiology
    kin/ and the School of Engineering Science
    The candidate will be expected to contribute to this program.
    Related research in Kinesiology includes: musculoskeletal
    biomechanics, neuroprosthetics, physiological systems, rehabilitation
    engineering, human motor control, and ergonomics.

    The School of Kinesiology takes a scientific approach to the study of
    human structure and function and their relation to health and
    movement. The School has over 25 faculty and is committed to
    excellence in research and teaching. There are well established
    research programs and excellent research facilities available within
    the School and the University. Our undergraduate teaching program
    includes concentrations in Active Health, Health and Physiological
    Science, and Human Factors/Ergonomics, as well as a contribution to
    the teaching of the program in Biomedical Engineering. The School
    also has well established graduate programs at the M.Sc. and Ph.D.

    The School of Kinesiology is located at the Burnaby Mountain campus
    of Simon Fraser University in Greater Vancouver. It is consistently
    one of the top-ranked Universities in Canada. The Vancouver area is
    renowned as one of the most desirable places to live and work.

    Applications will be accepted until July 14th, 2006. The anticipated
    start date is January 1st, 2007. Applicants should send a letter
    summarizing research contributions and goals in research and
    teaching, curriculum vitae, copies of three journal articles that are
    most representative of the applicantís research, and the name and
