    Dear Friends and Colleagues,



    Please see the advertisement below for a new post-doc position in
    locomotion biomechanics. The position is now open and can start
    immediately. I will however attend the World Congress of Biomechanics in
    Munich from July 30 to August 4 and the American Society of Biomechanics
    conference in Blacksburg, VA from September 6 to September 9. If the
    position is not filled by these dates, I will gladly meet with anyone
    interested in the position at either conference. Please contact me to

    Post-Doctoral Position Available



    The Biomechanics Laboratory in the Department of Exercise and Sport
    Science at East Carolina University invites applications for an NIH
    funded Research Associate (i.e. post-doc) position to conduct
    aging-related locomotion research. This is a 12-month renewable,
    non-teaching position. Opportunities exist to interact in collaborative
    research with physiology, physical therapy, geriatric, and neuroscience
    faculty. Principle responsibilities include: subject recruitment and
    testing with force platform, motion analysis, EMG, and isokinetic
    instruments, supervising graduate students working on this grant, data
    analysis, presenting results at conferences, and writing manuscripts and
    grant proposals. Qualifications include: 1) recent Ph.D. in appropriate
    field and 2) experience with a motion analysis system preferred but not
    necessary. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
