My name is Veronica Naing, and I am a research assistant at the Locomotion
Lab in Simon Fraser University.
Our lab is doing performance testing of a knee brace mounted device. This
involves recording EMG from thigh muscles (all of VL, VM, RF, BF, SM, SL,
ST) during treadmill walking. We are using a noraxon myosystem 1200. Our
problem is signal loss / huge amounts of noise once the brace is secured
over the electrodes. If anybody has any ideas for how fix this, I would
appreciate any input, or perhaps some recommendations for alternative EMG
systems that would work better in these circumstances.
Thanks,
Veronica Naing
