Post-Doc position in the Gait Analysis Laboratory
Location: Heidelberg, Germany
We are seeking a postdoctoral research associate to join the research group of the Gait Analysis Laboratory in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, University of Heidelberg.
The candidate, to start as soon as possible, will work on a project funded by the EU.
The appointee will be actively involved in researching at the interface between biomechanics and clinical application using video and 3D motion tracking, force plates, EMG as well as pressure sensing systems for enhancing the understanding for gait and postural aspects of patients with cerebral palsy.
A background in biomechanics, sports science or similar with a PhD in a relevant subject area, and a strong background in human motion analysis are essential. Experience of working within a clinical environment and familiarity with Vicon/Peak, force plates and especially EMG measurements are desirable, experience in statistics and Matlab would be an advantage.
Next to the participation in clinically oriented projects, technical support and maintenance for the clinical routine work is expected.
The position is offered on a one year basis, the prolongation is envisaged.
