  • Graduate studies in Bioengineering available at the NationalUniversity of Singapore (NUS)

    Dear sir,
    I would appreciate if you can assist in posting the announcement below
    on Biomch-L.
    Many thanks
    James Goh

    Graduate studies in Bioengineering available at the National University
    of Singapore (NUS)

    Research-based programmes for Doctor of Philosopy (Ph.D) and Masters in
    Bioengineering are available at the Division of Bioengineering (NUS).

    The Division has 4 key research areas in which it excels:
    (1) Biomaterials / Tissue Engineering & Repair;
    (2) Biosignal Processing / Bioimaging;
    (3) Nanobioengineering; and
    (4) Biomechanics / Computational Bioengineering.

    Graduate students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty
    members, many appointed on a multi-disciplinary platform from the
    Faculty of Engineering, Science and Medicine, on a wide variety of
    exciting research projects available in each of those areas. Research is
    carried out in a cluster of laborotories equipped with state-of-the-art
    facilities, supported by a multi-cultural community of well qualified
    research staff members, to provide a rich and multi-faceted learning
    experience in the area of bioengineering.
    A candidate is normally admitted at the beginning of each semester in
    the academic year, i.e. in either August or January. Applications are
    accepted any time throughout the year, by applying directly to the
    Division using the prescribed forms downloadable from
    http://www.bioeng.nus.edu.sg/edu/grad/#BAF

    Outstanding full time students who meet our admission criteria can
    expect to receive financial assistance from the Division through its
    Research Scholarship awards, which includes a full research fee subsidy
    and a monthly stipend. Candidates on scholarship can also expect to
    receive a top-up once they have passed their Ph.D qualifying
    examination.
