FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Kinesiology announces the availability of a tenure-track
position with a commitment to teaching excellence, scholarly productivity,
and service to the profession in the area of Human Motor Development. The
appointment will be effective August, 2007.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Kinesiology, or a related field that
emphasizes human motor development. Candidates must demonstrate a strong
potential to establish an independent research program consistent with
expectations of a research university, and to teach at least one
undergraduate/graduate course in lifespan motor development, and one or more
graduate courses related to motor development. Candidates should demonstrate
research records and interest in early childhood motor development, special
populations motor development, or gerontology.
Responsibilities: (1) Teach undergraduate and graduate classes; (2) conduct
scholarly research; (3) advise graduate students; (4) direct theses and
dissertations; (5) seek external support for scholarly activities; and (6)
perform service to the department, college, university, and profession.
Rank: Assistant Professor
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Application Deadline: Evaluation of applications will begin December 1,
2006, and will continue until the position is filled.
