  • EMG signal timing

    Hello All,

    1) When assessing EMG recordings of human gait is there a standard
time between EMG bursts that the signal needs to be "off" (or silent)
before we consider there to be two separate bursts of muscle activity?
In my protocol I have been using 2% of the gait cycle to isolate gaps
    between EMG bursts.

    2) Is there a standard minimum time that an EMG burst should cover
before we consider a muscle to be "on"?

Thank you in advance for your replies. I will provide a full summary
    of my responses.

    Regards,
