Sports Medicine Graduate Assistantships are Available

The graduate program in Sports Medicine from Sports Medicine and
Nutrition (School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences) at the
University of Pittsburgh is accepting applications from students
interested in receiving a MS in Sports Medicine. The MS in Sports
Medicine is structured to provide coursework in the major academic areas
of sports medicine, physiology, biomechanics, injury evaluation and
treatment, rehabilitation, physical training, anatomy, education,
nutrition, pathokinesiology, statistics, and research methodology. Both
thesis and non-thesis routes are available. Thesis route students are
provided with research experience in the Neuromuscular Research
Laboratory housed within the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center,
Center for Sports Medicine. The research experience in the Neuromuscular
Research Laboratory focuses on issues central to clinical research in

Medicine provide students with access to the most current research and
clinical developments related to patient care.

Graduate assistantships are available within University of Pittsburgh
Athletics and UPMC Center for Sports Medicine to those who qualify.
