The Laboratory of Biomechanical Orthopedics of the Swiss Federal Institute
of Technology in Lausanne invites applications for a scientific
collaborator.
Qualifications / Skills:
* M.S. degree in Science or Engineering
* Ph.D. in Mechanical or Bioengineering preferred
* Development of FEM (Abaqus)
* Programming (Fortran, Matlab)
* Biomechanics
Description of Position:
The scientific collaborator will join the Joint Biomechanics Group, which is
working on the development of models of the human joints. These models,
which are mainly based on finite elements, are used to improve artificial
joint implants, surgical techniques, or joint pathologies. This position
involves the supervision of an ongoing collaboration with the industry, but
also the extension and development of our current models of the human
joints, primarily the shoulder and the knee. Besides these supervising and
development responsibilities, teaching and communication tasks will be
needed.
Start Date: Immediately
Activity rate: 100%
Duration: 2 years (renewable after 1 year)
