Research Engineer at the Leon Root, M.D. Motion Analysis Laboratory
Hospital for Special Surgery, the nation's leading orthopedic hospital,
offers a wonderful opportunity for a qualified individual to provide
technical assistance for patient/research subject testing, in vivo and
in vitro data collection and data reduction, and development of test
protocols. You will instruct students, rotators, residents and fellows
in laboratory methods/protocols.
Responsibilities include design and development of hardware and software
to advance the study of biomechanics & human movement, and performing
lab modifications and equipment maintenance including specialized
installations, proof of performance testing & data backup. You will also
contribute to writing technical documentation, proposals, abstracts and
manuscripts.
Bachelor's degree required. 3-5 years related experience preferred;
experience with biomechanical modeling a plus; new grads welcome to
apply.
