Faculty Position/University of Pittsburgh:
Tenure stream Assistant Professor in the Department of Sports Medicine
and Nutrition, in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. The
appointment will be 10-month contract. The expectations of this
appointment will include a clear line of scholarship supported by
sponsored programs, graduate sports medicine administration and
teaching, and service. The academic responsibilities will include the
Director of Graduate Studies in Sports Medicine with primary
coordination of the MS and PhD specializations, advising and mentoring
the students in Sports Medicine, teaching Sports Medicine specific
course content, and assumption of the role of Associate Director of the
Neuromuscular Research Laboratory with specific emphasis on upper
extremity neuromuscular control and kinematics. Requirements of
Candidates: Earned doctorate in Sports Medicine or related area,
Certified Athletic Trainer preferred. The candidate should have
evidence of recent scholarship in upper extremity kinematics and
neuromuscular control with a track record of seeking and securing
sponsored funding to support this research agenda. The candidate should
also have experience in the administration of graduate academic programs
and a strong record of mentoring and supervising Master's and PhD
