  • Invitation to webcast on validation of musculoskeletal models

    Dear Subscribers,

I will be giving a free webcast presentation on a biomechanical model of a
seated human on Monday, November 20, 2006.

The purpose of the model is to obtain basic biomechanical information about
the seated posture. We can compute the forces between the spinal vertebrae
directly, and we attempt to assess fatigue-related discomfort while varying
parameters such as seat inclination and fabric friction coefficient. We hope
the model can provide insight that will help manufacturers design more
    comfortable and safe seats.

To accommodate viewers from different sides of the planet we are running the
presentation twice with 12 hours interval:

First show: 9am Central European Time, 3am Eastern Time.
Second show: 9pm Central European Time, 3pm Eastern Time.

The duration of the webcast is approximately one hour including questions.

Participation is free but it is necessary to sign up to participate. Please
    do it here:

    Best regards,
    John
