    FULL TIME RESEARCH POSITION SPECIALIZING IN BIOMECHANICS

    The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine,
    National University of Singapore is currently seeking a full-time
    Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow/Research Associate
    Professor/Research Professor specializing in biomechanics.

    Our Biomechanics Laboratory conducts interdisciplinary studies covering
    a broad range of hard and soft connective tissues, including basic
    science investigations on soft tissue mechanics and studies on human
    joint stability.

    Duties: The candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership
    and contribute to multi-disciplinary research programs as well as
    identify collaborative and interdisciplinary initiatives through
    competitive fund applications. Collaborate with other principal
    investigators in conducting biomechanical experiment. Assist in data
    collection, analysis and database management, including statistical
    analyses and preparing manuscripts, grant proposals and abstracts.
    Additional responsibilities include management of daily laboratory
    activities including safety issues, training and mentoring graduate and
    undergraduate students, residents and fellows in biomechanical
    experimentation.

    Qualifications: Candidate with a PhD in bioengineering, mechanical
    engineering or related engineering disciplines, preferably with
    appropriate postdoctoral training in orthopaedic biomechanics or
    bioengineering. Prior experience using material testing system (Instron,
    MTS, etc), motion analysis system and knowledge of data
    acquisition/motion control software LabView and MatLab is desirable.
    Excellent command of the English language (written and oral) and strong
    organizational and technical skills are essential.

    Salary will commensurate with previous experience and within
    institutional guidelines.
