The University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur is seeking qualified candidates for study towards a Masters degree in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The successful candidate will form part of a team involved in the design, development, test and characterisation of a novel bioreactor for applying mechanical and other stimuli to chondrocytes. This project forms a key part of the Tissue Engineering strategy in the department and funds are already secured for the research. The project involves a combination of design, development and both physical and biological testing or characterisation.
Candidates must hold a bachelors degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, Biomedical Sciences or a related field. All nationalities are considered, however English language proficiency is a must.
