[Northeast American Society of Biomechanics (NEASB) Conference 2007]
We are pleased to inform you that Dr. Mary Rodgers (a past president of
International Society of Biomechanics; University Maryland School of
Medicine) will have an opening remark at 2007 NEASB Conference currently
sponsored by ASB and BOSE corp. We are also excited to inform you that Dr.
Vladimir Zatsiorsky (Penn State University) and Dr. Steven Stanhope
(National Institute of Health) will give keynote addresses.
The NEASB conference is a regional meeting of American Society of
Biomechanics, and it is co-hosted by the University of Maryland at College
Park and Baltimore, Departments of Kinesiology, Bioengineering, and Physical
Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. The theme of this year’s conference is
“Bridging the Gap between Biomechanics and Motor Control." Abstracts from
outside of the conference theme are strongly encouraged and will be
accepted.
The conference intends to provide a welcoming environment for graduate
students to present their research and get feedback from peer students and
faculty. In light of this aim, the registration will be FREE. In addition to
presentations, the meeting will feature tours of the Neuromechanics,
Cognitive Motor Neuroscience, Orthopaedic Mechanobiology, and Human
Performance Laboratories at the University of Maryland. We also plan to have
MATLAB/LabVIEW tutorials by experts from National Instruments. For the
details about the conference and registration, please visit the website:
