Biomedical Engineer/Medical Scientist (Gait Analysis)

Hugh Williamson Gait Analysis Service



A full-time Biomechanical Engineer/Scientist is required for three years to
advance clinical gait analysis services through modeling, software and
process development in a collaboration between the Royal Children's Hospital
and VICON. There will be a specific emphasis on developing methods for
reducing the impact of soft-tissue artifact on gait analysis data. The post
is under the direct supervision of Associate Professor Richard Baker



This is a project of the Centre for Clinical Research Excellence in Clinical
Gait Analysis and Gait Rehabilitation (www.mcri.edu.au/gaitCCRE) and will
involve work with other centres in Melbourne including Professor Marcus
Pandy's lab at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering
within the University of Melbourne. An honorary appointment within this
Department will be offered to the successful candidate.



The successful applicant will have a PhD with a significant biomechanics
component and considerable experience of movement analysis.
