Dear Colleagues,
As part of the 2007 ASME International Design Engineering Technical
Conferences (IDETC07), 21st Biennial Conference on Mechanical Vibration and
Noise (VIB), we organize the Symposium on Linear and Nonlinear Bio-Dynamics
VIB-15. We would like to invite you to bring your valuable contribution to
the Symposium. For additional information please find enclosed the Call
for Papers:
Symposium On LINEAR AND NONLINEAR BIO-DYNAMICS
2007 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences (IDETC07)
September 4-7, 2007, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Sponsored by: DED - TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON VIBRATION AND SOUND (TCVS)
Technical Research Areas:
The Technical Committee on Vibration and Sound of the Design Engineering
Division of the ASME is soliciting papers for several technical sessions on
Linear and Nonlinear Bio-Dynamics VIB-15 at the 2007 ASME International
Design Engineering Technical Conferences and Information in Engineering
Conferences (2007 IDETC/CIE), 21st Biennial Conference on Mechanical
Vibration and Noise (VIB).
Topics of interest span the area of dynamics of biological systems, and
include analytical, computational, and experimental research on linear and
nonlinear bio-systems. Papers focusing on the following topics are
particularly welcome: linear and nonlinear dynamical phenomena in
bio-mechanical systems, bio-mechanical multi-body systems, dynamics and
stability of micro-scale and nano-scale dynamical bio-systems such as
molecular motors, multi-scale bio-dynamics and molecular modeling of
bio-molecules, bio-medical applications of nonlinear dynamical systems,
musculoskeletal research, organ biomechanics, human body kinematics, gait
analysis, medical applications and prosthesis dynamics, biomechanics of
joints, dynamical fluid-structure interaction in bio-systems.
Submittal of abstracts and manuscripts will be through ASME's web tool.
Deadlines, format requirements and other details regarding the conference
can be found on the following web page:
