Biomechanical Research Engineer
This is a grant funded position and will be located in Fort Campbell, Tennessee. The biomechanical research engineer position will focus on research related to preventing unintentional orthopedic injury and improving physiological performance within the military. Responsibilities will include coordination of the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory (NMRL) remote laboratory at Ft. Campbell, assist with new and ongoing military research initiatives, initiation of independent research projects, collaborate with faculty, physicians and doctoral students in sports medicine and obtain funding. A doctoral degree in biomechanics, bioengineering, or related field is required. Previous experience with conducting clinical research, having a competency in the usage of human motion analysis instrumentation, evidence in scholarly activities, publications, and presentation and the ability to contribute to research agenda and initiative are all required skills.
