  • Summary of responses: small ball/socket parts

Thanks to all the listers who contributed to my question on finding
small ball/socket joints to mount accelerometers (see below). I
apologize, but I eliminated some of the responses that were larger in
size (camera tripod mounts). The websites for different ball/socket
    joints are listed below.

    Dear Listers,

We have an application where we need to mount an accelerometer on a
small surface that can be tilted to different orientations. Ideally, it
would be nice to use a little ball and socket joint of the type your
might see in a plastic toy - small, lightweight, with sufficient
friction to maintain the orientation without an external screw etc. One
example is the ball and socket joint used in the holder of desk/pen
    sets.

We've actually found something like this on the Lego website, but it is
not quite what we need. Would anyone have any other suggestions? We've
checked out Small Parts Company as well as as Reid Parts.

Thanks in advance for any information.
