We are seeking for a research engineer to work in the broad area of computational biomechanics. The engineer will work under the supervision of Ahmet Erdemir, PhD and will be responsible from daily operations of a computational biomechanics core: development of models, running simulations, interpretation of results, programming.
The research engineer is expected to have an interest in the general area of computational biomechanics and an education in finite element analysis. It is also essential to have solid modeling and computer programming skills.
Preferably, the research engineer has previous exposure to a variety of computational biomechanics projects that encompass musculoskeletal system analysis, tissue mechanics and biofluids. A mechanical engineering degree and graduate work at a Master's level are helpful. Experience in model development and simulation using finite element method and computational fluid dynamics particularly coupled analysis of fluid-solid interactions is preferred.
