  • about linear hip power

    Hi,
We read a nice article ' Riley PO, Kerrigan DC.:The effect of voluntary toe-walking on body propulsion' Clin Biomech (Bristol, Avon). 2001 Oct;16(8):681-7.' which specifies linear power analysis performed to calculate the power delivered by the leg to the upper body for subjects with voluntary toe-walking gait. As far as we understood from your article publishers used BTS Motion Analysis System same as ours. They also utilized SIMM dynamics pipeline which we do not have. Is it possible to obtain/calculate linear hip power (by using antropometric, kinetic and kinematic data) without SIMM? If so could anyone help us for formulation to obtain linear hip power? Could you send us a little more detailed theory than written in the article.
    thanks
