  • Invitation to webcast on a kinematic interface between mocap andsimulation

    Dear Subscribers,

Michael Skipper Andersen will be giving a free webcast presentation on
Kinematic Analysis of Over-Determinate Musculoskeletal Systems on Thursday,
    February 22, 2007.

The presentation is about driving musculoskeletal computer simulation models
by motion capture marker trajectories, the problem being that the marker
data offers more positional information than the system has degrees of
freedom. It turns out that this redundancy, once solved, can enhance the
quality of the resulting movement and can be used to identify unknown model
parameters such as segment scaling and marker placement.

Examples of gait analysis are given using the AnyBody Modeling System

To accommodate viewers from different sides of the planet we are running the
presentation twice with 12 hours interval:

First show: 9am Central European Time, 3am Eastern Time.
Second show: 9pm Central European Time, 3pm Eastern Time.

The duration of the webcast is approximately one hour including questions.

The event is free but it is necessary to sign up to participate. Please do
    it here:

    Best regards,
    John
