The Department of Exercise and Sport Science, within the College of Health
and Human Performance at East Carolina University, seeks a nine-month,
fixed-term faculty position at the rank of Teaching Instructor effective
August 20, 2007. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Department seeks to attract active, culturally and academically diverse
faculty of the highest caliber. A doctorate in a field related to Sports
Studies is preferred and a master¹s degree is required. Responsibilities
include teaching a variety of sports studies and/or sport management courses
in both the undergraduate and graduate program. Also, the candidate will be
able to advise undergraduate students and serve on masters' thesis
committees. It is expected that applicants will be active in research.
Professional service to the university, community, and profession are
