  • Effects of having lower leg run over by a car

I came across an interesting web page today that presents a story of a
woman whose lower leg was run over by a car without suffering a
fracture. Note, the url is long so you might have to copy it and type it
    into your browser:

    http://alexanderharris.co.uk/article/Evelyns_story_pedestrian_run_over_b
    y_car_2282.asp

Does anybody know of additional literature on this? Was this woman
lucky, or would one not expect a fracture here? If a fracture would be
expected, would you expect it to be of the crushing-type or more of a
    bending type fracture?

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge of this type of accident
or know of any additional literature on this? Thanks for your help.

    Regards,
