Assistant Professor, Anatomy & Exercise/Health Science:
The University of Idaho is seeking a talented educator and researcher to
join our faculties in the WWAMI Medical Education Program and the Department
of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (HPERD) in the areas of
human anatomy and exercise/health science.
This is a 9-month, tenure track position. With a passion for both teaching
and scholarly pursuits, this person will assist with classroom and lab
instruction of musculoskeletal and general anatomy to first year medical
students, and will support the Athletic Training and Exercise Science &
Health Program through service, advising, and teaching in his/her area of
expertise.
This person will conduct research and engage in grant procurement in one of
HPERD's general research areas: sustainable healthy lifestyles; human
movement and neuroscience.
Qualified candidates must (a) possess an earned doctorate in anatomy,
athletic training, exercise/health science, or a related field; (b)
demonstrate successful college teaching in the area of human anatomy and one
or more of the subdisciplines of exercise/health science; (c) demonstrate
evidence of an active research agenda; and (d) demonstrate potential to
acquire external funding.
