Clinical Assistant Professor Position Opening
The Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Public Health and
Health Professions at the University of Florida invites qualified persons to
apply for a Clinical Assistant Professor position. This ambitious, growing
Department, consisting of 14 full-time faculty members, is strongly
committed to excellence in teaching in the entry-level DPT program and
contributing to the science of physical therapy through competitive
research. This is a 12-month, full-time,non-tenure track position primarily
dedicated to teaching. Salary and title may be considered at the
Associate/Full Professor level based on the qualifications of the candidate.
The academic environment at UF is exceptional, with rigorous academic
programs, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, one of the largest
number of Rehabilitation Centers of Excellence nation-wide, and a large
offering of clinical and research seminars. Ultimately, what makes the
Department of Physical Therapy truly exceptional is the quality and
commitment of the faculty, which has received numerous awards in both
teaching and research.
Responsibilities/Qualifications: The successful candidate is expected to
contribute to the mission of the Department primarily via dynamic teaching
of entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy students. Secondary emphasis for
this position is focused on service and scholastic activity. We are
specifically seeking an individual with a strong clinical background and
expertise in the musculoskeletal area and/or interest in coordinating a
course in radiology and imaging for the physical therapist. Candidates must
hold a PhD or an EdD from an accredited institution.
Salary: Salary and title may be considered at the Associate/Full Professor
level based on qualifications of the candidate.
