Position: Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Description:
An immediate position is available for a post-doctoral fellow to join
the newly established Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Texas
at San Antonio's Department of Biomedical Engineering. The candidate
should have areas of expertise in motor control or movement, and
modeling of same. An emphasis in electromyography is preferred.
Individuals should be experts in programming languages (MatLAB, LabVIEW)
and modeling languages.
Resources available to the fellow in addition to those at UTSA could
include the Andrew Gitter GAIT Lab (8 camera motion analysis system, 4
force plates, 16 channel EMG) located in the University of Texas Health
Science Center at San Antonio (8 miles away), as well as collaborations
at the Research Imaging Center. Initial appointment is for one year
with the possibility of extension if funds are available.
Qualifications:
A PhD or equal degree is required. Candidates from biomedical
engineering with a heavy mathematical emphasis are particularly
encouraged to apply. Strong applicants will have a strong record of
scientific excellence, independent research and collaboration.
