The College of Public Health, Environmental Health Sciences Division,
University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking
a qualified candidate to fill a full-time tenure track faculty position at
the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level beginning in August
2007. The newly established College of Public Health has an accredited
MPH program and is undergoing rapid expansion of the doctoral programs and
core areas of research expertise.
Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree in
occupational and environmental health or a closely related field. Expected
areas of interest and competency for teaching and on-going research must
include at least three (3) of the following: injury epidemiology,
occupational health, acute and chronic injury exposures and risk modeling,
ergonomics and safety, industrial hygiene, workplace health programs and
the biomechanics of human movement as they relate to slips, trips and
falls. Experience in occupational health and safety research related to
agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, transportation, and
construction is highly desirable.
