Applications are invited for a BBSRC-funded
postdoctoral position to work on the neuronal
control and biomechanics of aimed limb movements
in insects. The successful candidate will be a
skilled computer modeller capable of developing
our biomechanical model of a locust leg, working
alongside electrophysiologists and behavioural
neurobiologists to analyse biological data that
are then incorporated into realistic models.
This post will be part of a very active research
group in modern and well resourced facilities,
with opportunities for research visits to our collaborator's lab in Cologne.
Applicants should have a PhD in an appropriate
area and enthusiasm for solving biological questions.
