  • Postdoctoral opportunity in heart valve mechanobiology -University of Toronto

A postdoctoral position is available immediately to study the molecular
mechanisms by which the mechanobiological properties of the extracellular
matrix regulate aortic valve calcification. There is opportunity to
initiate and pursue additional projects within the general scope of aortic
    valve calcification and mechanobiology.

The successful applicant will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary
environment in the Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering at
the University of Toronto, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and
local expertise in biomedical engineering, biomaterials, and cardiovascular
biology. For more information, visit www.mechanobiology.com,
    www.ibbme.utoronto.ca, and www.hsrlce.on.ca

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., a strong publication record, good
communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented
research environment. Prior experience with immunochemistry, molecular
biology, cell culture, and animal models is desirable. Appointment will be
made for one year with the option of renewal.

Qualified candidates should send a curriculum vitae, a brief summary of
research interests and experience, and contact information of three
    references via e-mail to:
