PhD studentship (Graduate Teaching Assistant) in Sport Biomechanics
Sport and Exercise Science, School for Health
    University of Bath

(~ £14500 per annum with yearly increments plus UK/EU student tuition fees)

As part of its expansion, Sport and Exercise Science in the School for
Health invite applications for a PhD studentship (Graduate Teaching
Assistant) in Sport Biomechanics. The Sport and Exercise Science team is
responsible for delivering the B.Sc. Sport and Exercise Science degree at
the University of Bath. The team is a young, vibrant and ambitious research
based group within the School for Health in one of the best Universities in
    the United Kingdom.

This is a 4-year studentship starting from 1 October 2007. Each year the
applicant will conduct research for a PhD for 75% of the time and
demonstrate and mark undergraduate laboratory classes in biomechanics for
25% of the time. The preferred area for research is sprinting biomechanics
    in athletics (track and field).

The successful applicant must have a good first degree (upper second or
first) in Sport and Exercise Science or a related discipline including a
strong grounding in biomechanics. Current final year undergraduates or
master's students are eligible to apply. An understanding of related
coaching issues in sprinting is also desirable. The studentship is available
    to all EU citizens.

    Closing Date: 25th May, 2007
