Research Program Manager I is responsible for the direct supervision of the daily operations of the Biomechanics Laboratory, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, coordinate and manage research activities and to ensure a positive learning environment for all individuals who may use the facilities. Position requires an individual who can work independently and collaborate with a team of faculty and students, develop consent forms for the use of human subjects in research, assist in all aspects of research (grant writing, manuscript development, collect and analyze data), develop applications software in MATLAB or other software, and can demonstrate working expertise in the operation of all pieces of equipment including a Motion Analysis System, Force Platforms, Electromyography, Electromagnetic Tracking System and Pressure Measurement Systems as well as any future equipment. Position requires knowledge of preventive maintenance and timely repair of all laboratory equipment. This position may require some teaching responsibilities.
Qualifications (minimum and desirable):
Minimum: Candidate will have a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field with experience in Biomechanics of Human Movement.
Desirable: Previous clinical research experience with subjects of all ages and laboratory management experience. Working knowledge of major laboratory equipment, specifically the 6-camera Motion Analysis System, Force platforms, Electromyography, Electromagnetic Tracking System and Pressure Measurement Systems. Programming skills in MATLAB or other software is desirable. Knowledge of Eva RT, Orthotrak, Kintrak, Motion Monitor, Data Pac and other applications software is desirable.
